Wageningen University is internationally well-know for their expertise in Food and Agri research. As the founders of the technology, the university is an important partner in the commercialisation. They patented the anti-solvent crystallization technique to extract sugars in 2012, and license it to ProKris in 2016. Prof. Johan Sanders, the discoverer of anti-solvent sugar crystallisation, remains strongly connected to ProKris Technologies as a scientific advisor.

Novifarm is an innovative farm in the south of the Netherlands with over 300 hectares of farmland. Novifarm is a loyal producer and shareholder of SuikerUnie, the Dutch sugar producer, and has a lot of experience in sugar beet farming and implementing new technologies on their farm. Novifarm is our launching customer; the first commercial Prokris plant will be operating on their farm.
